The Department of Defense maintains the official Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) website, where you can search for active duty and recently-active members of the military. SCRA is a program that provides certain protections in lending for servicemembers who are called to Active Duty. This site lets you request records reports to certify active duty status for provisions under SCRA. You need to create a free account to search. You can search by name, DOB, SSN, etc.
